BIOGRAPHY

"Cities & Schools" is smart, empathetic and endlessly interesting

- Paste Magazine

"Killer hooks and a palpable sense of nostalgia for summers past."

- Magnet Magazine

"Cities & Schools" is a sugar rush of infectious beats, gleaming keyboards and Lindsay’s bell-bright tenor vocals. It is catchy to the extreme."

- Indy Week

Jon Lindsay, based in Savannah, Georgia and New York City, is a solo artist, producer, and multi-instrumentalist/backing vocalist for Benji Hughes. He’s released three solo albums, three EPs and many singles. His fourth LP Big Stage arrives May 16th, 2025 via Daffin Records. Big Stage was made in Hollywood at Eric Valentine’s Barefoot Studios and features horn performances and arrangements from Matt Douglas (of The Mountain Goats). Lindsay was co-founder of The Catch Fire, with Mike Mitschele (of The Alternative Champs), and co-founder of The Young Sons, both power pop acts from Charlotte, NC. In 2013, Lindsay co-founded the NC Music Love Army with Caitlin Cary (of Whiskeytown). Lindsay and Hughes are on a U.S. tour in 2025 with stops along both coasts and official appearances at SXSW.
